Toronto’s fossil record from Elaisha Stokes on Vimeo.
I’ve been quiet the last few months because I’ve been busy, toiling away in a basement, pulling 13 hour days, editing a series of videos for a new exhibition at the Royal Ontario Museum. Water is an interactive and immersive exploration of life’s most precious resource. And making the videos was surprisingly fun! They cover everything from the tapeworms that live in the intestines of sting rays to the prehistoric fossils of Toronto.
But the best part was working on a major project and seeing it through to completion. I’m proud of the final product, and I know it’s going to be a great show. This is what success feels like. I think about my past endeavours – there are so many creative loose ends from 2010. I think I am finally ready to tie them up.
